The Famous Five Caravan
Where you will experience a lifestyle from a less hurried time, where you can relax and where you can remember what life is really about.
The Famous Five, a bowtop gypsy caravan (once used in the TV series of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five) is found on a secluded and charming cider apple orchard overlooking the Somerset Levels. The bow top sleeps two in a traditional, cosy double bed with room for a young child underneath! It also has heating if required.
There is an open fire for cooking on but nearby in the same orchard there is a heated vintage caravan with a gas cooker, oven, fridge and additional seating or sleeping space.
What do you get?
Bed linen is provided as are all utensils, crockery and cutlery. The private bathroom is nestled in a traditional shepherd’s hut where there is a shower, a basin and a sink for washing up all with hot water. The private toilet is separate to the bathroom but in the same orchard.
Our aim is that all our visitors leave refreshed, relaxed and revitalised.
Children are welcome. Younger ones can sleep in the wagon with you in the traditional manner, cosily tucked up under the main bed but older children would need to sleep in the vintage caravan or bring a tent. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement with Emily but she requests that they do not go into the gypsy caravans.
